Seeds for the Parish
Seeds for the Parish is the ELCA's resource newspaper sent to congregational leaders six
times a year, without charge. Each issue contains articles about resources that can help
congregations in their worship, service, and ministries. Typical issues have stories on
resources available from churchwide units and Augsburg Fortress for worship, youth
ministries, Christian education, stewardship, evangelism, social ministries, and
leadership. There is a regular column on resources that can be found on the World Wide
Web.

nonsectarian organization whose mission is to advance the well-being of adolescents and
children by generating knowledge and promoting its application. At the heart of the
institute’s work is the framework of 40 developmental assets , which are positive
experiences, relationships, opportunities, and personal qualities that young people need
to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible.
