Palm Sunday is the day on which
Christians remembers Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. When Jesus rode in to
Jerusalem on a donkey, the people took palm branches and went out to meet him. Palm
branches were used in celebration of victory. The crowds also spread their cloaks on
the road, much as we would roll out the red carpet today.
