"Hello and Welcome", from Pastor Dave!
"May you find the presence of Christ, now and always."
Pastor Dave came to St. Stephen’s in December of 1997 because it was an opportunity to lead a congregation with vision and a mission to reach those in the
Northglenn area who were seeking God but were unchurched.
Pastor Dave's call to the ministry came first in high school while participating in a Lutheran church in St. Paul, Minnesota that was experiencing a spiritual
awakening. In college, he fell away from the Lord and the church, and experienced for the first time what it meant to be unchurched. After college, the Lord called Pastor Dave back to Himself and
to His church and ultimately, to the ministry. During that time, Pastor Dave enjoyed a successful business career. As the Lord renewed his faith, he discovered that the majority of his
colleagues were unchurched and that many churches were unwelcoming toward people like them. He realized that there had to be a better way to do church; a way that did not put so many barriers
between people and the Lord. It is that way that St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church is now living out.
Pastor Dave received his Master of Divinity degree from Luther seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and served two congregations in the Willmar area of Minnesota
before coming to St. Stephen's.
At St. Stephen’s, you will find a church where "You are valued and Jesus’ love is known." It is a place of love and compassion. A place to discover faith in the
living Jesus. A place with a sense of humor. A place that is founded on the grace of God and where people are taught how to apply God’s teaching through the Bible in practical ways to their
everyday life. It is a place for real people who want to know the real God.
Come and experience the life at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church.
