New Orleans Mission Trip
Congregation, did you know that
the St. Stephen's youth are planning a missions trip. It's
True! The youth are in the process of earning funds to go to
New Orleans in early August. The kids will assist in meal
preparations, participate in personal devotion time, and work at
various ministry sites. They will experience fun and
cultural activities in the evening after working at the sites
during the day. This program is great incorporating a
variety of opportunities for the kids to minister to the diverse
population of New Orleans, whether through serving at kid's
programs, visiting the elderly or helping with work and assisting
local ministry organizations. |
|
Coffee Shop- Make Money! Every week
students can make money to put in their youth accounts by working
the St. Stephen's Coffee Shop. We use this money to attend
missions events, youth trips, concerts, and other fun activities.
Please sign-up on the calendar in the coffee kitchen if you are
interested. |

Flamingos
are Here, Beware of the Flamingos!
The St. Stephen's Youth group has been informed
that a strange and unusual event is taking place. A flock of
bright pink flamingos are migrating to our areas. These
birds are obnoxious and are taking up beautiful landscape in
people's yards! The youth has taken it upon them-selves to
start a 'Flaming Removal' service. If these birds appear in
your yard, call the youth and we will send someone out to remove
them. Since we are such a humane group, we don't
believe in exterminating them so we will just find them a new
home, like in a fellow congregation member's yard!
This is meant to be a fund raiser, so we will be
taking donations for the removal of the flamingos. We ask
that you will support this event financially and enthusiastically
as it is meant to be fun for everyone involved! All these
funds will go toward the Youth Missions Trip in August to New
Orleans. |
